Starting in 2025, King County increased the minimum wage for work in unincorporated King County to help working families who struggle to meet the cost of living and to match the higher wages in nearby cities. The state’s minimum wage is not enough to meet the basic needs of working families in King County.
We want to hear from you if you are:

Someone who employs people for work in unincorporated King County.
As of January 1, 2026, the minimum hourly wage in unincorporated King County is $20.82. There are three temporary exceptions, based on business size and gross revenue. Smaller employers may pay $19.82 or $18.32 depending on the number of employees or gross revenue.
