US 224 at SR 587 Intersection Improvement (SEN-224-3.64, PID 110912)

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to improve safety and efficiency at the United States 224 and State Route 587 intersection by converting the intersection into a single-lane roundabout. The project is expected to require permanent and temporary right-of-way near the intersection. Construction is currently scheduled to begin the summer 2022 and last approximately 3 months. A detour will be posted for the expected 75-day closure. To see the expected detour, see the Project Handout in the sidebar of this page under "Documents".
Please join us for a virtual public meeting Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 4-5pm with a presentation at 4:00pm.
The meeting presentation and handout (both coming soon) explain the preferred alternative for the improving the intersection. The purpose of the meeting is to explain the overall proposed project, present the preliminary roundabout design and potential impacts, discuss how traffic will be maintained during construction, the proposed detour route, answer your questions, and receive your input.
