What is the project?
The Mahoning County Engineer would like your input on proposed improvements to Glenwood Avenue (CR 135) from Western Reserve Road to Midlothian Boulevard in Boardman Township, Mahoning County, Ohio.
The improvements propose to restripe Glenwood Avenue (CR 135) from Western Reserve Road to Midlothian Boulevard. Travel lanes will be reduced from 4 lanes to 3 lanes, with one through lane in each direction, a center two-way left-turn lane, and dedicated turn lanes, as needed. Utilizing the additional roadway space, dedicated northbound and southbound five-foot-wide bike lanes will be striped from Western Reserve Road to Overhill Road on each side of Glenwood Avenue. Additionally, a single lane roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Wildwood Drive. Drainage and traffic signal improvements will also occur.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring of 2026 and last approximately 18 months.
