I-475 East/West Widening Feasibility Study (LUC-475-9.6, PID 108778)
I-475 East/West Widening Feasibility Study (LUC-475-9.6, PID 108778)
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 commissioned a Feasibility Study to address safety and congestion concerns associated with the east/west portion of Interstate 475 (I-475) between US 23 and Douglas Road, located in Lucas County, Ohio. The Feasibility Study is a summary of the different alternatives that were investigated for widening I-475 in this area from 2 lanes in each direction to 3 lanes in each direction. It also explains the options explored for a full interchange at Talmadge Road; however none of the options were recommended for construction. The Feasibility Study is the first step in preparing for future projects along this corridor, with the potential for more detailed studies and design to follow later. There is no funding available for construction and no construction date for any of the alternatives discussed in the Feasibility Study.
Thank you for those that joined us for a virtual public meeting!
The meeting presentation (also at the bottom of this page) and handout explain the overall study, present the proposed alternatives for the widening of I-475, discuss the recommended alternative, and options that were investigated for the Talmadge Road interchange.
