Project Description

The project proposes to restrict access to the SR 82/Howland Wilson Road intersection in Howland Township by eliminating left-turn movements from eastbound and westbound SR 82.  Additionally, the project proposes to remove the existing traffic signal and cul-de-sac northbound and southbound Howland Wilson Road while still maintaining access for vehicles turning right on Howland-Wilson Road. No new permanent and/or temporary right-of-way is anticipated for the project. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Construction is expected to begin in May 2025 and last approximately 7 months.

Why are we holding a virtual public meeting?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Ohio's Governor Mike DeWine has prohibited mass gatherings and the CDC has recommended using social distancing to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  Public involvement meetings are very difficult to perform while practicing social distancing.  Due to these issues, ODOT is now holding public involvement meetings virtually so that social distancing can easily be performed while engaging with the public about transportation projects.

Internet Access Difficulties

A transcript of the video presented here and a printout of exhibits will be provided to anyone who has issues accessing the virtual public meeting.  Please send a transcript request to Sean Carpenter of ODOT District 4  for the TRU-46-7.81, PID 109520 virtual public meeting at one of the following contact methods:
