Sugar Creek Greenway: Yorkmont to McDowell Farms
This ~3 mile section of trail is the first funded phase of Sugar Creek Greenway and will connect Yorkmont Road to McDowell Farms Drive. This project will provide a public parking area on South Tryon Street and numerous pedestrian connections to neighborhoods along the corridor.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend one or both of the public meetings in July. The video of the presentation is posted below in case you missed the meeting.
March 2024 Update: The design for the greenway trail is nearly complete, and Mecklenburg County staff are working to finalize the real estate transactions for the project. The project will be bid once real estate is acquired. Check back for proejct updates regarding the schedule.
