Project Description: The Rock Slope Stabilization Program will improve road safety by addressing unstable rock slopes. It incorporates a methodical process of evaluating high-risk rock slopes and implementing suitable stabilization measures like rock scaling, bolting, or netting. The primary objective is to mitigate rockfall incidents on Alaska's roads, thus ensuring public safety. Per 23 CFR 450.218(j) this STIP program groups together categorically excluded projects (23 CFS 771.117) This includes mitigation areas used for the safety of transportation facilities.
