Irwin Creek Greenway West Planning Study
Mecklenburg County is working on a planning study for the future Irwin Creek Greenway corridor, which seeks to expand recreation access and enhance transportation options on the west side of I-77 between the existing Irwin Creek Greenway at Fifth St/Ray's Splash Planet and Waddell Street Park. The study will evaluate the feasibility of a trail crossing under Interstate 77 along Irwin Creek, as well as connections to the Smallwood, McCrorey Heights, Washington Heights, and Lincoln Heights neighborhoods.
