You received this survey because you are a current or former member of an advisory Board or Commission of the City of Asheville. This survey is sent to you by the Boards and Commissions Realignment Working Group, which was formed in May 2022 by the City of Asheville to advise the City on its proposed restructuring of City Boards and Commissions.
This survey is designed to provide data that the Working Group can analyze to inform recommendations to Council on how its advisory Boards and Commissions can perform and communicate more effectively. Your cooperation in taking this survey will be greatly appreciated.
IMPORTANT: please fill out the survey with your experience serving on a particular Board. If you have served on more than one Board within the last 10 years, and if you would like to fill out another survey form, please contact the Clerk's Office at [email protected] We realize that you may not remember everything about your experience on each Board. Feel free to skip any questions for which you do not have ready answers. However, answering as many questions as you can will help us collect the data that we need.
At the end of this survey you’ll find two more general questions: one asking for your recommendations and another offering the opportunity to tell us something we didn’t know to ask about. Additionally, you will have the option to fill out demographic information.
The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Please take the survey in one session; however, you can come back and change answers anytime while the survey is still live by clicking "change my answer."
Please note: the word “Board” is used throughout for simplicity’s sake, but it should be understood it refers to either a Board or a Commission.
All responses will be aggregated and your identity will remain anonymous; however please note that all survey responses and raw data are public record.
