For this study, an ADU is defined as a smaller, self-contained home on the same lot as a primary residence, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living space.

This survey is for people who live next to or near a property with an ADU in Raleigh.

If you:

• Own an ADU, take the Owner Survey.

• Live or have lived in an ADU, take the Occupant Survey.

• Do not own, rent, or live near an ADU, take the General Survey.

• Design or build ADUs, take the Designer/Builder Survey.
