Solarize GR is a community-based solar bulk-buy program designed to help residents and property owners of the Greater Grand Rapids Metropolitan area buy solar energy for their properties. Solarize GR brings together neighbors and local solar companies for in-person sessions to:

- coordinate a discount
The costs of solar energy have come down significantly over the last decade and the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) solar is better than ever! In 2004, the average “price per watt” (PPW) for most roof-mounted systems was $10.28 according to the Solar Energy Industry of America. Just over 20 years later this has dropped to a range of $2.70 to $3.80 per watt.
With solar power you can:

Through Solarize GR, an additional 1% discount is applied to every household that signs a contract following an info session. These savings increase up to a maximum of 15% discount for 15+ installations.
