The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has put this site together to share information and receive your feedback about important transportation improvements being considered for a portion of I-75 in our area.
The I-75 Interstate Unification Project will shift the northbound lanes to the southbound side of the highway from the State Route 126 (Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway) interchange to just south of the Shepherd Lane interchange. The project will improve safety and ease congestion by adding one new lane of travel in each direction and will include multiple safety and access improvements at State Route (SR) 126 and on the surrounding local roads.
UPDATE: In 2025, several improvement alternatives at the Galbraith Road interchange and at Wayne Avenue were presented to the public for review and comment. The project team selected Alternative 2 (a new single lane roundabout at the intersection of Millsdale Street and Wayne Avenue) as the Preferred Alternative for the Wayne Avenue Interchange.
The project team is currently evaluating two additional alternatives at Galbraith Road and would like your feedback.
This self-guided tour through a series of tabs will present the new alternatives at the I-75 & Galbraith Road interchange. We are asking for your feedback only on these additional alternatives at this time. You are welcome to review all of the improvement options that were previously evaluated, but the comment period for the earlier set of alternatives has closed.
In 2025, we hosted a virtual public open house to share information about the I-75 Interstate Unification Project and gather feedback. The public was asked to review four alternatives related to potential improvements at the Galbraith Road interchange and two alternatives at Wayne Avenue. Several hundred comments were received during the public comment period.
Comments ranged from full support for any alternative that will improve mobility in the area to general opposition to the unification of the interstate. The information below summarizes key themes that were shared via the virtual public open house. Corresponding responses to these themes are also summarized below.
